Objectivity

Our research philosophy is based on gathering documented facts and applying a logical, reasoned interpretation to build a family tree. While this process is inherently independent of pre-existing knowledge, we aim to corroborate and verify oral history and family lore when appropriate.

Rigour

Not every record or anecdote should be taken at face value. We seek to verify each piece of information by consulting multiple contemporaneous and subsequent resources.

Discretion

Discovering family history can reveal sensitive personal information and may even expose family ‘secrets’. For this reason we limit the publication of results in line with our clients’ wishes. Unless specifically requested in writing, all details pertaining to living persons are treated as private by default.
